The Palmer Event Center was full of life this weekend as thousands from around the globe gathered to discuss all things food, fitness, mindfulness, and community.
We set up our Barefoot Trading Post to set the mood of an old time general store meets trading post. With furs, antlers, old antique furniture, and curio cabinets, filled to the brim with some of our favorite snacks.
Throughout the weekend, between the amazing panels and sessions, attendees enjoyed samples of our Sunfood botija olives, Antidote chocolate, Lulu's Raw Chocolates, Caveman Cookies, Dang Coconut Chips, Livin' Spoonful sprouted crackers, Jem Raw Sprouted Nut Butters, Rawmio Cookie Dough Butter, and WB Cookies, as well as some Nicole's Nutty Goodness, Yawp! bars, Sea of Change Sea Bakin, and a plethora of Heavenly Organics' 3 ingredient chocolate patties. We also introduced a few new products like our Wildway Granola, Galactic Pastured Hog Skin (pork rinds!), RX Bars, and Jackalope Croutons and paleo bread — all available in our online store.
Hilary Bromberg, one of the Barefoot founders, presented on Sunday to a packed crowd at the Keynote Stage about Paleo Happiness, and gave a great argument for ditching not only the Standard American Diet, but also the Standard American Life. You can read the blog post she wrote on the topic here. We'll be sure to share a video when it's available. She also spoke on some fun and intriguing panels with other awesome thought leaders like John Durant on our evolutionary past and how it plays a role in how we date and mate, Diane Sanfilippo on balancing our feminism without going back to the cave, and Chris Kerston on sustainable living.
Finally, we were THRILLED to receive the award for Best Paleo Company at the awards assembly on Saturday night. We strive to provide a place not only for delicious primal foods, but a place where you can find unique, artisanal items that you can't find anywhere else. We love what we do, and thank you for your support along the way.
Until next year, GO BAREFOOT!
Come gather around the warm glow of the fire and listen, watch, share, discover, and be inspired by the conversation. It is here where we explore stories, and new ideas. Pull up a rock.
