Crock Pot Apple Pumpkin Butter

This paleo treat is comforting, sweet, and combines your favorite flavors of fall, all in one jar. It's great for topping grass-fed yogurt, paleo bread, and even homemade cookies and pastries. I've been using it as a "dip" for some filled shortbread cookies I whipped up. This easy recipe will become a favorite!

You will need:

2 lbs peeled, sliced apples

1/3 cup pumpkin puree (canned is fine, just make sure its pure pumpkin only!)

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup + 2 tbsp (divided) Nutiva Coconut Sugar or Carazuc

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice, or cinnamon

Add your sliced apples, 1/4 cup coconut sugar, spice, and 1/4 cup of water to a crock pot and cook on low for 5 hours.

After 5 hours, strain the water from the pot and combine apples, the pumpkin puree, and 2 more tbsp coconut sugar in a blender or large food processor. Blend until mixed well, and smooth.

Keep in a jar with a lid, in the fridge, and enjoy :)

This stuff is delicious stuffed in some Cassava Flour dough, like in this Malaysian Roti
