Paleo Banana Malt Smoothie

This smoothie is simple, and reminiscent of a malt. Maca powder is what gives this that malty punch of flavor, accompanied by a hint of banana, and your favorite nut butter.

Why maca? Similar to ginseng and other adaptogenic foods, maca is traditionally known to support hormone balance, and increase libido and energy. This amazing superfood comes from the hardy maca plant, which thrives high in the rugged Andes Mountains. Maca has been a traditional Peruvian health and vitality secret for thousands of years. 

Why sprouted nut butter? The soaking and sprouting process brings natural resting enzymes to life, increasing bioavailable nutrients. Increased nutrients and live enzymes aid digestion and strengthen the body’s natural healing process, increasing vital energy and wellness. 



You will need:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp- 1 tbsp of your favorite nut butter, we recommend Dastony sprouted nut butters for increased nutrition
  • 1 tbsp maca 
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar 
  • sprinkle of cinnamon
  • vanilla bean (or extract, or powder)
  • 1 cup nut milk with 3-4 ice cubes (can also make nut milk cubes!)

Blend well, and sip.
