Matcha Cream Soda (Whole30 Friendly - No Sugar Added)
Grow up loving cream soda? Me either. To be honest, I was a Pepsi kid (I know -____-) but as an adult, the love for soda luckily lost it's luster (how's that for alliteration?) However, I have found myself absolutely head over heels for sparkling water, including local favorite Waterloo, Big Swig, and more nationally/internationally recognized La Croix and Topo Chico.
I never thought to mix sparkling water with anything, other than a little fresh lemon, until I saw some keto folks making cream soda with their flavored sparkling water + Natural Force's Vanilla MCT Oil. Inspired by this no-soda, refreshing sip, I figured a matcha cream soda could be a delicious and cool way to enjoy your otherwise warm energizing and calming tea.
Here's how to make it
24 oz sparkling water
1/4 cup nutmilk or dairy free creamer of choice
honey (optional, NOT Whole30 friendly)
1. In a jar or blender, add creamer/nut milk, matcha, and if using, honey. Blend or shake well until thoroughly combined. You can add a drizzle of water if more liquid is needed to dissolve.
2. Split this mixture into two glasses, then carefully and slowly pour in the sparkling water.
