Gums? Hmm, is that really OK?

nutpods uses gellan gum to thicken the creamer and make it oh-so-awesome, instead of the more commonly used carrageenan gum which can cause inflammation according to medical research. Both are substances derived from nature, but so far gellan gum has no reported negative effects and is the preferred natural emulsifier for yummy products just like this one.
